If you notice the tape is cutting cleanly or evenly, they you may need to replace the cutters themselves. This video will work for all models of Phoenix Tape Dispensers.
Our manual machines, Phoenix M1 and Phoenix M2 have handles on the left hand side. It rarely needs replacing, but if someone turns the wood handle around it may warp the handle itself and need replacing. If you leave the handle the way you receive it, you'll see this handle never needs replacing.
The PE1, PE2 and PE4-E all have this spring, and like any spring, after years of use it may need replacing. If your blade isn't coming up and down, this spring may be broken. This is a simple and easy repair.
The Phoenix M1 will sometimes need new springs underneath the machine. This is very common after several years of use. You will need to pay attention to which spring goes in which spot. Please pay close attention when removing the original springs.
This is a MUST know, the brushes can get pretty gunky from the glue of the tape over time and they will need to be replaced. This works on ALL models of our machines, PE1, PE2, PE4-E and the Phoenix M1 and Phoenix M1.
All our machines, PE1, PE2 and PE4-E plus our Phoenix M2 install the heater the same way. This is a very easy fix if your heater needs replacing.
Sometimes a small adjustment to this piece can get your tape lengths back to normal dispersant.
