This piece of metal is located center of the machine on the bottom. It’s a piece with cut outs these hold the Tape Guides (E6-6, M6-6) in place. The roll of tape sits nicely on this plate between the tape guides, it is found on all models of Phoenix Gummed Tape Machines. (M1, PE1, PE2, PE4-E)
